The only thing better than seeing a celebrity in the wild and completely losing your mind (and then promptly snapping a pic/sending it to Deux Moi)? Seeing a celebrity see a celebrity in the wild and promptly lose their mind.
Which is apparently what happened when Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan ran into Jennifer Aniston at the 2024 Emmys. Or, more specifically, walked the carpet at the exact same time as her, eliciting a gasp because it is Jennifer Aniston, after all.
When asked to recall the “strangest” part about being on the red carpet, Nicola said, “Okay, I went to get my photos taken and then I looked to my left and Jennifer Aniston was standing right beside me. I heard her voice and I went [gasp!]. I gasped. I’m normally quite okay, but she’s…she’s Rachel. I can’t. Yeah, that was a really crazy one. She’s perfect.”

This was actually Nicola’s very first red carpet in Hollywood (IRK?), and she went with a “Penelope meets intergalactic Hollywood siren” look, which apparently transforms for the after-party.
Oh, and she also joked that while she does typically do anything for a look (Nicola is nothing if not committed), she won’t wear super-high heels because she doesn’t want to fall over in front of…you know…the likes of Jen An. Understandable!
