I enjoyed the high-stakes drama for OA and Gemma on the train in FBI season 7, episode 14, titled “Hitched,” but one detail about Gemma (Comfort Clinton) irritated me. OA (Zeeko Zaki) has experienced multiple traumatic events in FBI season 7. In “Hitched,” OA’s getaway with Gemma turns into a new nightmare for him when hijackers armed with guns take over the train the couple is taking to Niagara Falls for a much-needed vacation.
OA’s attempt to overpower the perps leads to a struggle in which Gemma is shot and OA is tied up. The hijackers refuse to free his hands, forcing him to walk them through saving Gemma. In the climax to FBI season 7 episode 14, OA moves Gemma to another train car while he tries to get into the driver’s car so he can stop the speeding train before it’s too late. However, these scenes point to an inconsistency in how Gemma’s injury is handled.
