OMG mom stop! Laurie Metcalf and Roseanne cast storm onto the set of The Talk during her daughter Zoe Perry’s interview

The Talk had a memorable moment on Wednesday.

Laurie Metcalf’s daughter Zoe Perry was being interviewed about her new show Young Sheldon, when she received an unexpected show of support from some longtime friends.

The Talk’s Sara Gilbert, an alum of Roseanne said, ‘I actually heard that we’ve got some fans that are here to crash your interview – where are they?’

Cameo: John Goodman, 65, and Roseanne Barr, 64, made a special appearance on The Talk Wednesday in support of castmate Laurie Metcalf’s daughter, Zoe Perry, 33

At that point, Roseanne’s main players Metcalf, Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, and Lecy Goranson stormed onto the set of the show, took a selfie with Zoe, and departed just as quick as they arrived, to a rousing ovation from the studio audience.

The quick hit had both Zoe and Sara reminiscing about the old days on the set of the comedy, which ran from 1989 thru 1997 and is slated for an eight-episode reboot on ABC next year.

Gilbert mused about how time has flown since the series’ first run, telling Perry, ‘Honestly it must be amazing, you started this role at the same age that Laurie started playing Jackie on Roseanne. Has she told you what that’s like for her to watch you?’

Perry replied, ‘It’s been such a pleasure to get to do this with her around me and with me because she’s so supportive – it’s really nice to share this, yeah.’

The impromptu cameo comes amid anticipation of Roseanne’s return to the air 20 years after its initial run concluded after nine seasons on ABC.

Channing Dungey, ABC Entertainment’s president, said in a statement in July, ‘The Conners’ joys and struggles are as relevant – and hilarious – today as they were then, and there’s really no one better to comment on our modern America than Roseanne.’

Dungey went on to say that the show’s comeback comes at a perfect time, CNN reported, as ‘people are definitely looking to television as a place they want to feel.

‘They want to laugh, they want to cry, they want to enjoy. I think what the mood of the country has told us is that television is a little bit of an escape.’

Gilbert, who’s an executive producer on the reboot, in September told Entertainment Weekly during a Facebook Live chat that it was an appearance on The Talk in March from her castmate Goodman that raised her spirits as to the chances of the cast coming back for a reboot.

‘John came on and said, “Hell yeah,” or whatever he said, and then I had a moment where I thought, “Oh wow, maybe everybody will do this,”‘ she said.

Gilbert said of the reboot: ‘It felt like the right time to put this working class family on TV; that’s a voice that’s not be
