Kim Fields is finally speaking her truth — and she’s not holding back.
The Living Single and Facts of Life icon recently opened up about her short-lived time on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and let’s just say… she has major regrets.
“Looking back, I wish I had never done it,” Kim admitted in a candid interview. “It just didn’t align with who I am.”
Fields joined RHOA in Season 8, and while fans were excited to see a respected Hollywood actress mix it up with the Atlanta crew, Kim says the experience turned out to be one of the worst decisions of her career — and even impacted her personal life in painful ways.

Known for her grace, professionalism, and decades-long acting career, Kim says she tried to bring a different energy to the show — but quickly realized she was out of place.
“I carry myself with a certain standard,” she said. “And suddenly, I was in full glam just to argue with grown women about things that didn’t matter.”
Kim also revealed that the drama felt forced and out of touch with her values, admitting she often felt like a fish out of water in scenes filled with shade, conflict, and petty storylines.

Perhaps the biggest breaking point for Kim was when her marriage came under fire — something she says was not only uncalled for, but also deeply damaging.
“They defamed my marriage,” she shared. “That was the final straw.”
Rather than drag it out for the sake of screen time or a paycheck, Kim chose to walk away — and she didn’t look back.
“I ended my contract right after that season,” she confirmed. “That’s not a world I ever needed to be a part of.”
