Sad news from Hollywood: Young star Alberto Rosende has been found dead at his residence md20

Over the past decade-plus of Windy City rescues, we’ve met some tenacious first responders on Chicago Fire, and Firehouse 51 just got the most unconventional of recruits with Lucy, played by Jeanine Mason.

It’s never a dull day on the first day at Firehouse on 51, but it’s safe to say Lucy had her work cut out for her when she arrived at 51 ready to conquer the day, only to discover her supervisor was getting the axe. Hired as an assistant to Chief Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney), Lucy was supposed to start weeks earlier, but due to an administrative backlog with the CFD, her onboarding was delayed. But just as a bright-eyed and bushy-tailed Lucy celebrated her first day with a glimmering first impression, Pascal got the disheartening blow that he was terminated immediately, with his last day at Firehouse 51 cosmically lining up with Lucy’s first day.

Amid the bittersweet comedy of errors, Chihards were excited to learn more about the new assistant settling in at Firehouse 51, who was determined to make a great first impression despite the workplace mayhem.

The entire Firehouse 51 family was feeling somber after realizing Chief Pascal was likely losing his position after making some heroic sacrifices in recent episodes. While Pascal doesn’t regret his actions — countless lives were saved — he wasn’t able to preserve his own neck after being forced to face the consequences of disobeying a Federal Agent’s orders. Of course, Lucy was none the wiser while introducing herself to Lt. Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney), who was quite confused upon meeting his soon-to-be-fired Chief’s new assistant.

She was originally supposed to start at Firehouse 51 weeks earlier, but paperwork backlogs within the CFD delayed her onboarding and first day. It didn’t take long for Lucy to get caught up in the chaos and was happy to introduce herself to Pascal and lend him help, however possible.

There was a bittersweet poetry to Lucy’s first shift after learning it was officially Pascal’s “last day” at Firehouse 51 as she finalized paperwork, submitted reports, and requested last-minute signatures from the Battalion Chief in his final hours. Pascal wanted to leave the CFD with his hands as clean as possible, and Lucy worked wonders for crossing every T and dotting every I with panache.

To her credit, Lucy refused to let Pascal’s termination sway her from a job well done as she zipped around the firehouse ironing out every possible detail of Pascal’s departure. Lucy refused to abandon her post due to an administrative error on the CFD’s behalf, reassuring Severide that the higher-ups would need to drag her out of Firehouse 51 after the annoyance of finally getting there.

After Pascal made his emotional farewell, he told Severide to check with Lucy about something he left behind for Severide in his office. After Severide stopped by to pick up this mysterious something, Lucy was keen to reveal that Pascal had left his entire Chief’s office to Severide, with a CFD Fire Captain handbook on the desk as a silent passing of the baton.

Chihards everywhere are heartbroken to see Pascal leave, but fortunately, Lucy’s arrival and ability to do the administrative tango for the first responders promise some much-needed stability amid the unrest.
