David Boreanaz’s Jason has been struggling since the SEAL Team season 7 premiere. His traumatic brain injury (TBI) is acting up and getting worse with each episode that passes, and Mikey’s brush with death certainly isn’t helping. Meanwhile, Drew and his mysterious family continue to be a bit of a mystery (with episode 7 revealing some new information), and the reality of retirement is hitting Ray like a ton of bricks as he gets closer to leaving Bravo. So, it’s safe to say that the majority of SEAL Team characters are going through it in season 7, episode 7.
Bravo’s Mission In Honduras Explained
The SEALs Continue Trying To Implicate China In The Drug Trade
Lieutenant Davis discovers that a former Honduran Special Forces colonel, Ramone Nazario, is doing China’s dirty work. In exchange, China is using drug money to fund Nazario’s plans to overthrow the Honduran government. So, Command sends Bravo (along with Davis) to Honduras to prove the connection between China and Nazario. When the SEALs get there, they raid drug trade targets but come up empty. However, at the end of season 7, episode 7, the SEAL Team characters find millions of dollars behind a stash house’s walls. They then light the pile of bills on fire to draw out their targets.
How Mikey’s Overdose Affects Jason & His Role With Bravo
Jason Throws Himself Back Into The Fire In SEAL Team Season 7, Episode 7
Jason doesn’t know who he is if he’s not Bravo 1, but he needs to look forward, not back.
Jason believes that his identity is inherently tied to the Navy SEALs, which is why he becomes laser-focused on Bravo’s next mission. In doing so, he begins pushing Mandy, Mikey, and Emma away. Jason doesn’t know who he is if he’s not Bravo 1, but he needs to look forward, not back. Commander Blackburn and Captain Walch even offer Jason a new position, which would entail him guiding warfighters through TBI treatment options and tracking progress in combating the epidemic. However, Jason is unenthused by the idea and responds that “carrying a rifle” is how he makes his impact.

Will Davis Get Promoted To The Pentagon?
SEAL Team Season 7, Episode 7 Ends On An Ominous Note For Davis
Towards the beginning of SEAL Team season 7, episode 7, Davis gets a visit from Admiral Rivas. He explains to her that he’s going to the Pentagon later as he will likely receive a big promotion, and Rivas wants Davis to be his right-hand if that happens. Of course, Davis is eager to accept the proposal. Rivas is impressed by Davis’ work throughout season 7 and is ready to bring her to the top alongside him. However, the optimism that Davis feels quickly fades after speaking with Blackburn.
Since the conversation between Davis and Blackburn happens offscreen, it’s unclear why Blackburn isn’t enthused about the promotion. An obstacle might be in the way of Davis moving on up to the Pentagon, or Rivas doesn’t want her to accompany him anymore. Whatever the case, viewers will have to wait until the next episode of SEAL Team season 7 to learn more about Davis’ future in the military.
Why Drew Goes MIA After Kissing Chelsea
Sonny & Omar Convince Drew To Return To Bravo
The journalist from SEAL Team season 7, episode 3, Chelsea, returns in episode 7 to continue her interview with Drew. She asks him about his parents, and viewers learn that Drew’s mother left him and his family when he was 12 years old and moved to France. However, back in Drew’s van, one thing leads to another and Drew kisses Chelsea. She immediately says it’s a mistake and leaves, and Drew, like Jason and Ray, heads down a path of self-destruction in “Mission Creep.”
Drew goes MIA and misses Bravo’s meeting at Command in SEAL Team season 7, episode 7. Sonny and Omar find him drunk in his van and warn him that his running from Bravo will only end in disaster, a hard truth they have learned firsthand. Thankfully, Drew shows up on the plane and goes to Honduras with his fellow SEALs. Sonny and Omar’s advice evidently gives Drew the push he needs to return to Bravo, but the state of his relationship with Chelsea is still up in the air by the end of the SEAL Team episode.
