Pompeo not only headlines the ABC show but helps to produce the mega-hit, too. “I’m very fortunate that I actually get to see how my presence directly impacts the money the show makes,” Pompeo says proudly.
Finally, it’s their turn this season. “Maggie and Jackson are exploring love they have finally claimed,” teases executive producer Krista Vernoff.
“I dig the fans,” Pickens says. “If it weren’t for the fans, we wouldn’t be celebrating 15 right here. Different actors have different takes on fans and what fans quote unquote require of them. I think it’s a privilege that we’ve impacted their lives to such an extent that they have been willing to take this journey, right now going into our 15th season.”
Chambers still remembers how he felt while shooting the Grey’s pilot. “Nerves, definitely nerves,” he recalls. “I was with all these other actors, I didn’t know anybody, and I was hoping the show would be a success and thank God it worked out.” Luddington, who came much later, spent her first day “geeking out” in Meredith’s house “when I wasn’t supposed to be there. We weren’t even shooting and I just kind of crept on and investigated everything, because I was a fan of the show. So my first memories of being on set was even before we started filming anything and I was sneaking into Meredith’s house.”
Gird your loins, Grey’s fans. These three are about to bring a whole lot of drama to Grey Sloan Memorial. “Owen and Teddy and Amelia have what I think is a very complicated love triangle this season,” teases Vernoff.
