Per TV Promos, the Chicago Fire season 13 finale trailer shows Pascal under investigation by OFI and Captain Van Meter for allegedly attempting to kill Robet Franklin — the driver who was responsible for the accidental killing of his wife Monica. In an emotionally-charged promo, Severide, who had suspicions about Pascal, finds himself caught up in the drama, when Van Meter tells him, “If Pascal is going down, you’re going down with him.” Check out the trailer below:
What This Means For Chicago Fire’s Explosive Season 13 Finale
Pascal Looks To Be In Big Trouble & Severide Will Face More Hardship
The trailer suggests that Chief Pascal could be in a world of trouble, and might even be going down for attempted murder. This would set up another major Chicago Fire character departure, with Dylan Mulroney potentially leaving the series. However, one of the more shocking outcomes could be the fate of Severide, and whether he will end up going down with Pascal, simply for trying to do the right thing. It has been a difficult season for the fan-favorite character to date, with his and Kidd’s adoption falling through, and neither choosing to take time off work.
Severide has chosen to throw himself into his work, but this has inadvertently caused him to encounter more problems, and his attempts to do the right thing could see him implicated alongside Pascal. Whilst it is unclear what the episode might hold for Severide as Chicago Fire season 13 concludes, things are not looking good right now, and the hope will be that he can convince Van Meter of his innocence, and try to get to the bottom of what happened, and whether Pascal is, indeed, responsible.
Our Take On Chicago Fire Season 13’s Finale
A Shocking & Dramatic Finale Should Set The Show Up Well For Next Season
Chicago Fire is a show that has always crafted strong dramatic arcs, and this is another example of how well the show is able to tell compelling stories. Whilst it is likely that Severide will emerge from this investigation relatively unscathed, he could face consequences that will still be felt through Chicago Fire season 14. Alternatively, this looks like it could be the end of the road for Pascal, unless someone is trying to frame him, and his season arc should conclude in the upcoming finale episode.
