In a candid interview with The Mirror, Cowell explained that he does not think inheritance is the right approach for future generations. “I don’t believe in passing on from one generation to another,” he stated. Instead, Cowell intends to leave his wealth to charity, likely supporting causes close to his heart, such as children and animals. His perspective is that true legacy is built through the opportunities you provide to others, not just by transferring financial wealth. “Your legacy has to be that hopefully you gave enough people an opportunity, so that they could do well, and you gave them your time, taught them what you know,” he said.

Cowell’s Family Life

Cowell, who became a father in 2014 with his partner Laura Silverman, has expressed that his son will not inherit his wealth. Cowell and Silverman began their relationship in 2013, following her divorce, and got engaged in 2022. The couple’s son, Eric, is currently growing up in the spotlight but will not be receiving a financial legacy from his father.

Continuing His Career

Despite his fortune, Cowell is not slowing down anytime soon. At 64, he plans to continue working well into his 80s or 90s. He has shared his thoughts on aging gracefully, joking, “You can be cool as you get older if you’re (a) successful and (b) you can relate to younger people without acting like an idiot. But don’t dye your hair.”Simon Cowell, who once doubted Jennifer Hudson, wearing a white shirt on the red carpet.

Though American Idol and The X Factor are no longer on air, Cowell remains involved with his Got Talent franchise, which includes international versions in the UK, US, and Canada. Additionally, he is working on a series of books with his son, with the first expected to be released in 2023.

Ultimately, Cowell’s legacy is centered on his career achievements and the impact he’s made through his work, not the inheritance he will leave behind.
