What a difference two years make!
Simon Cowell posted a rare family photo of himself along with his girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, and their son, Eric, on Tuesday. The trio is pictured all snuggled up together aboard a yacht. The music mogul, who has been vacationing in Ibiza with his fam, is shirtless next to the beaming socialite and they each have an arm around their 18-month-old offspring, who is well protected from the sun.
There is no caption on the photo, but we can imagine it saying, “#luckyman,” “#proudpapa.” or “#noidontsunbatheinawhitevnecktshirt.”
From time to time the X Factor judge will share photos of his only child — and they are usually equally adorable — but it’s uncommon to see them all together.
Speaking of being together, it’s been two years since we first learned that Cowell and Silverman were even an item. In the summer of 2013, it was revealed that the cranky Brit, who vowed to never have children, was expecting one with the brunette. Making the story juicier? She was married to his friend Andrew Silverman, with whom she has a 9-year-old son, and there were photos of the trio aboard a yacht on vacation together. (Apparently Simon and Lauren’s hobbies haven’t changed.)
By December of that year, Lauren’s divorce was finalized and she and Cowell geared up for the birth of Eric, who arrived in February 2014. It was then that Mr. Nasty seemed to disappear for good and was replaced by this doting dad who likes sharing photos of his cute kiddo on social media.
What a transformation — and a beautiful one at that.
