Station 19 Showrunners Reveal Storyline Plans for Next Season Before Cancelation
Showrunners Zoanne Clack and Peter Page give fans a hint at what Station 19’s eighth season would have looked like if it hadn’t been canceled.
“I had some great times, of course, I had some not some fun times,” Esposito continued. “But, I love Donnie [Wahlberg], I met some great people there, and honestly, the fans — I still get asked, ‘Are you gonna go back to Blue Bloods?!’ And it’s like, ‘That’s, like, 10 years ago!’ That really warms my heart, so I couldn’t be mad at it. It was nice to go back.” Esposito’s Detective Jackie Curatola was on of the series’ main characters throughout its first three seasons. Despite being absent for seasons four through twelve, Esposito returned to the role of Detective Curatola as a recurring guest for its thirteenth and fourteenth seasons.

In November 2023, it was officially announced that Blue Bloods would be coming to a close at the end of its fourteenth season. At the time, CBS president Amy Reisenbach and CBS Studios president David Stapf made a joint statement reading, “Blue Bloods will forever be a beloved part of CBS’ legacy. It ruled Friday nights with unprecedented dominance since its premiere and established itself as a pillar of our winning lineup with an exceptionally devoted fan base.” The statement extended the network’s gratitude to the series’ cast and crew, stating, “We also sincerely thank the incredible writing and producing teams guided by executive producer Kevin Wade, for years of compelling episodes as they conceive this final chapter that we expect to be the most satisfying season yet for our loyal viewers.”
