[The Golden Bachelor Spoilers Warning: This report reveals Mel Owens’ The Golden Bachelor Season 2 winner and if they got engaged].
The Golden Bachelor’s second season is nearing its end after Mel was just shown eliminating Debbie Siebers, a 65-year-old fitness professional from Denver, CO, in third place following his Final 3 bachelorettes’ hometown dates.
The next The Golden Bachelor episode, The Women Tell All, airs on Wednesday, October 29 at 9PM ET/PT on ABC.
Mel also has his overnight Fantasy Suites dates still ahead with his Final 2 bachelorettes: Cindy Angelcyk Cullers, a 60-year-old retired biomedical engineer from Austin, TX, and Peg Munson, a 62-year-old retired firefighter and bomb tech from Las Vegas, NV.
After his Fantasy Suite dates, Mel will have to choose between the two ladies at the Final Rose Ceremony in Antigua.
But if fans can’t wait until then to see how The Golden Bachelor ends, a huge spoiler has surfaced.
According to Reality Steve spoiler blogger Steve Carbone, Mel picked Peg as his winning bachelorette at the end of filming.
And not only that, Carbone reported that Mel proposed marriage to Peg at the Final Rose Ceremony.
“Mel is engaged to Peg,” Carbone wrote via Instagram
Carbone wrote in the caption of his post, “(SPOILER) Took me long enough, but finally here’s your Golden Bachelor finale spoiler. #spoiler #goldenbachelor #melowens #abctv #bachelornation.”
The spoiler was met with a lot of mixed feedback from fans on social media.
Many The Golden Bachelor viewers gushed about how they’re so glad Peg has found The One.
“LOVE PEG!!! Cindy is great but I think that Peg is more fun and I don’t think he really likes to go deep, which Cindy obviously wants to do,” one person commented on Carbone’s post.
And another Instagram user added, “I thought it was going to be Cindy, but I love Peg. She’s so outgoing and full of energy!”
Other fans, however, were convinced that Cindy ended up with Mel’s final rose.
“Omg I thought he was gonna go for cindy! Cindy was probably heartbroken at the end! This season is such a dud! Mel is like a brick wall! He does nothing, says nothing, shows nothing! ZERO emotion!” the person complained.

And a large amount of people discussed how Mel and Peg’s relationship is probably not going to last.
“Oh, I don’t think they’re going to get married. This engagement will probably last two months,” one critic wrote.
Another chimed in, “Never gonna last. She’s way too spunky and cool for him!”
And a third Instagram user commented, “She loves her career — her firehouse and her hometown He loves his Calif life and sons They won’t connect.”
During a recent appearance on the “Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour” podcast, Peg teased her overall experience on The Golden Bachelor as “amazing.”
And Mel recently gushed about how The Golden Bachelor ending of Season 2 won’t disappoint.
“It’s so brilliant… It’s so good, you won’t believe it,” Mel told Us Weekly in an interview.
“You won’t believe how we get there, not mechanically, but how we get there emotionally,” he clarified. “There’s some movement and twists and turns.”
The magazine — who interviewed Mel in person — reported that the 66-year-old attorney and former NFL player’s face lit up when talking about The Golden Bachelor finale.
But Mel admitted the final days of the process were “tough” on him.
“I’m just trying to figure out who is going to be the best fit for me, who I would enjoy,” Mel shared.
“But there’s that magnetism that pulls you in that direction no matter what, and it’s a little bit more toward one person than the other, so I went with my gut.”
