Spoilers for Station 19 Season 3, Episode 15 Ahead
Like its sister show, Station 19 has sparked frustration among fans with its recent love triangle twist in the episode “Bad Guy,” recycling a familiar narrative trope.
The latest installment delivered its usual blend of drama and personal conflicts, but viewers expressed disappointment over the portrayal of Carina DeLuca and Maya Bishop’s relationship. After a heated argument, Maya (Danielle Savre) turned to Jack Gibson (Grey Damon) for comfort, leading to an unexpected kiss and a night together.
This development quickly drew backlash from fans, who criticized the storyline as an example of the “cheating bisexual trope.” One viewer vented on Twitter, “The Station 19 writers really thought they were being clever by having a bisexual woman cheat on her girlfriend with a man. Wow…never seen that before…how original.” Another added, “Did Station 19 really have to go down the cheating bisexual trope? Come on, really?”
