‘Station 19’ Fans Theorize Something Will Happen to This Character Ahead of Series Finale

Is someone’s life in danger on Station 19? Fans seem to think something may happen to one of the major players on the series, and it’s all thanks to an unexpected source.

Ahead of the April 11 episode of the ABC drama, a promo dropped teasing what’s to come for the first responders of firehouse 19. In the 30-second clip, Ben Warren (Jason George) calls “mayday” on the scene of a fire at what appears to be the Space Needle in the show’s Seattle setting. As a series of calamities occur, Ben nervously utters a sentence that left everyone on edge.
“There’s no way out!” he screams into the walkie talkie before referencing his wife, longtime Grey’s Anatomy character Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson). “Tell Miranda she was worth waiting for.”
Given how Ben has been a long-standing favorite character ever since he appeared in Grey’s Anatomy (the predecessor to the Station 19 spinoff), seeing the firefighter in peril had fans rushing to the comments to voice their fears that something might happen to him.

“If something happens to Ben, I will lose my mind!!!” one person screamed on YouTube. “Ben absolutely BETTER BE okay,” another demanded. “Ben ABSOLUTELY CANNOT die!! I REFUSE to lose him!” a different viewer begged.

While folks will need to tune in and see what happens to Ben, it’s not impossible to think something fatal could occur. The show has been known to kill off characters throughout its seven-season run, like Ryan Tanner (Alberto Frezza) in season 3 and Dean Miller (Okieriete Onaodowan) in season 5. And given how the show is ending after seven years on the air this spring, it would be a curveball, but not unheard of for an ABC procedural.

Station 19' Season 7 Premiere Recap & Interview With Showrunners
Since Ben and Bailey’s relationship has gone through many trials and tribulations over the years on Station 19 and Grey’s Anatomy (including Bailey having both a heart attack and a miscarriage), this would be a devastating blow to fans of both series. But with a planned crossover between the shows, there is hope that the duo’s love story isn’t over yet.

As showrunner Meg Marinis told Deadline in March: “The Bailey and Ben relationship will continue to cross over. Those two actors love crossing over and it’s very important to them that what they do over here and what they do over there, that it’s one symbiotic thing.”
