The *Station 19* Season 6 finale featured the unexpected death of Michael Dixon, which may pave the way for his son, Emmett Dixon, to return in Season 7. Dixon died after the floor collapsed at the Firefighter’s Ball, and although Travis couldn’t save him, the two shared a reconciliatory moment. 
Dixon’s parting words revealed that Travis was his favorite among Emmett’s partners, offering a sense of closure. If Travis shares this with Emmett, it could bring him much-needed peace regarding his complicated relationship with his father.
Emmett left *Station 19* in Season 5 to travel the world, and it was revealed in the finale that he is currently in Europe.
However, with his father’s death, it’s likely that Emmett will return, even if just temporarily, to attend the funeral and visit his mother. Beyond this, Emmett could also find a new role in Season 7 at the Dean Miller Memorial Clinic or as part of the Crisis One program, continuing the mental health focus of the show. His return could help develop important storylines, making his reappearance both meaningful and impactful.
