Station 19 star Jaina Lee Ortiz teases the possibility of a relationship forming between Andy and Jack during season 7. The pair have been close since the very start of the show, which included a brief romantic relationship that has since been broken off. However, her care for Jack is much more direct now, as the season 7 premiere revealed he may not be able to be a firefighter anymore.
Speaking with TV Insider, Ortiz teased the possibility of Station 19 season 7 showing a rekindled relationship between Andy and Jack. However, the actor also confirms her character isn’t considering romance this season, meaning anything could happen. Check out what Ortiz had to say below:
Oh, you’re coming on to something. I think we may get to see a full-circle moment with Andy and Jack. I’m not saying that I know for sure. I actually don’t know.
Right. No, I think her love interest this season is her job, and I feel like it’s not what she expected it to be. Obviously no relationship is perfect. So the fact that she is struggling so much as captain will be telling to how it ends.
Will Andy & Jack Get Back Together In Station 19 Season 7?
While Andy and Jack used to be in a relationship, the pair have had plenty of love interests since then that make their getting back together unclear. The former used to be married to Battalion Chief Robert Sullivan, while the latter has had a string of relationships that have all ended. As of the season 7 premiere, it’s unclear if either of them are ready for a relationship, especially with Jack still recovering after the end of Station 19 season 6.
Given Ortiz’s comments, it doesn’t seem like the pair will be getting back together anytime soon, given their individual focuses going forward. While Jack still has a long road ahead of him once he learns he can’t be a firefighter anymore, Andy is still navigating her new role as the station’s captain. With both characters in very different positions moving forward, they’ll have to take care of themselves before they start thinking of each other romantically.
However, in Station 19 season 7 episode 1, Andy projects her fears through a vision of Jack speaking to her, indicating just how close a bond the pair share. This could be setup for a rekindled romance, with the pair possibly leaning on each other as they learn to live with their new roles in life. Even if all it leads to is a closer friendship, it appears the series might end with them having a better bond than ever before.
