“Merry Christmas ya filthy animals!” Ortiz wrote over an Instagram video showing Hayden popping in next to a Christmas tree
Jaina Lee Ortiz and Jay Hayden are ringing in the holiday season together!
As they celebrated Christmas together on Monday, the two Station 19 stars appeared to share some holiday treats during a cozy and festive occasion.
In a set of Boomerang videos posted to Ortiz’s Instagram, the first showed the 37-year-old actress appearing to clink her cocktail with another glass in front of a Christmas tree decorated with lights and multi-colored baubles. Hayden, 36, is shown stepping halfway into the frame while boasting a wide-eyed, happy look at the camera.
“Merry Christmas ya filthy animals!” Ortiz captioned the shot, also tagging Hayden and actor Eddie Rivera.
In the Boomerang that followed, Ortiz shared a glimpse at her empanada-making skills as she closed up the edges of the dough with a fork. “Keeping traditions alive,” she wrote, adding an emoji of Puerto Rico’s flag alongside it.
Ortiz and Hayden initially sparked dating rumors this summer after they shared a couple of photos from their travels to Lago Specchio di Venere, a gorgeous lake on Pantellerìa Island off the coast of Italy. In the photos Hayden shared on Instagram, the pair smiled on the shore with their bodies covered with natural mud.
Ortiz also posted a photo from the pair’s clay-filled excursion to her Instagram Story and captioned it: “Probably one of the most amazing experiences of my life!”
Hayden and Ortiz have been rumored to be romantic off-screen for nearly two years, but they have yet to confirm their relationship status. The closest they’ve come was in the form of Hayden’s 2021 New Year’s Eve post on Twitter. “2022 here we come,” he tweeted, alongside a photo of Ortiz kissing his cheek. The comments were full of fans congratulating them.
The pair may be soaking in as much time as they can together with the cancellation of Station 19. Earlier this month, ABC announced that the Grey’s Anatomy spinoff would end after its upcoming seventh season.
In reaction to the news, series creator Shonda Rhimes wrote on Instagram: “Grateful for an unforgettable run. A heartfelt salute to the exceptional cast whose brilliance brought the characters to life and to the viewers who continued to make it possible!”

“Thank you for the magic, the moments and the memories,” she concluded the post, adding the hashtag “station 19.”
