Steve Urkel is that you? Jaleel White, 45, looks vastly different than his iconic Family Matters character while out in LA

He played one of the most iconic characters in 1990s American television.
And Jaleel White looked vastly different than his boy genius character Steve Urkel on his latest outing.
The 45-year-old star of Family Matters was seen on a coffee run in Los Angeles on Monday.

Signature role: Jaleel (seen in 1993) starred as Steven 'Steve' Quincy Urkel over all nine seasons of Family Matters from 1989 to 1997
He definitely changed up his look from his nerd character as he sported a goatee and switched his signature thick red plastic eyeglasses in favor of black wayfarer shades.
Jaleel looked stylish in a plain black T-Shirt with multicolor Converse All-Star high top sneakers, and a blue pair of Just Don Washington Wizards basketball shorts.
He accessorized with the aforementioned sunglasses and a silver chain with a cross pendant.
The actor certainly had his hands full as he carried along two coffees on the solo outing.

Urkel was introduced midway through the first season as a recurring character but quickly became the main protagonist of the show.
The show became a smashing success with the first five seasons amassing over 20million viewers per episode.

Jaleel showcased his acting skills as he eventually played Steve’s much cooler and smoother alter-ego, Stefan Urquelle, and even his female cousin, Myrtle Urkel.

He has had steady work in both film and television since his signature role as he most recently starred as Blake in Adam Sandler basketball film for Netflix titled Hustle which was released earlier this year.
