Taylor Lautner is stepping into his newest role yet — dad, as the Twilight star announces he and his wife are expecting their first child.

The Twilight heartthrob, 32, broke the news to his 10 million Instagram followers with a sweet snap of him planting a kiss on his wife’s blossoming baby bump.

The glowing couple also posted a baby scan in an adorable family photo.

Taylor cheekily captioned the post: “What’s better than two Taylor Lautners?” – a nod to the fact his wife shares his first name and surname.

The image was the first in a series shot by snapper Chanelle Sekas-Whitacre showing the couple dressed in white in a countryside setting.

Former Twilight co-star Nikki Reed was among the first to comment, writing: Oh my goodness heart bursting. I love you guys. I can’t wait to watch your journey as parents unfold…

Twilight’s Peter Facinelli chimed in: “whaaaat? Amazing. Congrats. love you guys.”

Peter played Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the hit film franchise, while Nikki portrayed Rosalie – both family members of Taylor’s on-screen rival Edward (played by Robert Pattinson).

Olivia Holt, who starred as Kate in Breaking Dawn – Part 2, cheered: “Congratulations u beautiful family!!!!”

The couple revealed last year on their podcast The Squeeze that they had been exploring their fertility as they planned to start a family.

Taylor’s wife bravely opened up about her fertility concerns, recalling a chat with her doctor about whether she’d have enough eggs.

“My doctor was a little concerned for me because I’ve been on birth control for 10 years and never taken a break.

“And she was like, you could, like, not have any eggs right now,” she said, adding: “We’re in the clear. I got a lot of eggs.”

Fans will remember Taylor once dated pop superstar Taylor Swift before settling down with influencer and registered nurse Taylor Dome.

The couple tied the knot in a lavish November 2022 wedding.

The actor’s proposal featured dozens of candles and rose petals, with a neon sign reading “Lautner”.

Taylor shot to global superstardom as werewolf Jacob Black in Twilight.

Nowadays, he’s stepped back from the silver screen to focus on his podcast and family life.

He’s previously hinted he felt trapped by the Twilight fame, but now says he’s loving life out of the spotlight.

“For me, it’s all about surrounding myself with the people I love. As long as I’m with my friends and family, I’m happy,” Taylor previously
