TBBT’s Mayim Bialik Looks Totally Different in Iconic 80s Classic MacGyver

The series originally aired in 1985 and ran for seven seasons.

The Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik can be spotted in a classic action-adventure series following a secret agent. The show ran on ABC and was a ratings success, drawing in viewers from across the globe, and it gained a loyal following.

Bialik played Lisa Woodman in seasons five and six of the series, back in 1989, and it was one of her earliest TV roles. The series in question is MacGyver, which starred Richard Dean Anderson as the title character Angus MacGyver.

MacGyver was a secret agent who used scientific methods to solve any problem out in the field.

Bialik’s character Lisa is a young girl who MacGyver originally meets at a Swiss boarding school.

Viewers have hailed the series, which is available to stream on Pluto TV, one of the best of its time and one fan said on IMDb reviews: “MacGyver…Quite simply the best show on Earth. I’m 16 years old but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate one awesome show.

“MacGyver is simply put, the most unique and amazing idea for a show I’ve ever seen. He used no guns, no cussing, minimal violence (just what was necessary to get the job done), and was always teaming up with some sort of organization trying to help society.

“The show never gets tiring to watch…well I still haven’t seen all the episodes yet but I’m working my way through the DVD collection.”

Another labelled it “the best show ever made”, adding: “I can say that MacGyver was the best action adventure of the 80’s and it still is. I love MacGyver and I always will.”

A third fan called it “a true treasure”, sharing: “The thing with MacGyver is that it’s original. Rare to any other series today, it focuses on the brain instead of brute force, which is actually a good thing, considering that television today is heading for a more “brains-off, action-on”-attitude.
