Though fans may have to wait a bit longer to see Benedict (Luke Thompson) and Sophie (Yerin Ha) on screen in Bridgerton season four, there’s a new way to get a taste of the Bridgerverse: the Candlelight concert series.
This immersive experience celebrates Bridgerton’s beloved orchestral soundtrack, which famously transforms modern pop hits — like Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, Next,” Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy,” and Rihanna’s “Diamonds” — into elegant string arrangements. The experience, titled “Candlelight: The Best of Bridgerton on Strings,” features a live string quartet performing fan-favorite songs from the series, set against a mesmerizing backdrop of thousands of flickering candles.
Recently held at Los Angeles’ historic Immanuel Presbyterian Church, the concert drew a packed crowd of superfans. “I cried at the first song,” shared attendee Amina Geneva, who was moved by the atmosphere and the music. With 5,000 candles illuminating the venue, the setting was indeed a Regency-inspired dreamscape.
Shondaland’s director of consumer products, Catherine Yan Lustro, says the Candlelight concert was designed to offer fans a way to relive the magic between seasons. In collaboration with Fever, Shondaland is bringing this immersive experience to over 200 cities worldwide. “We hope that coming to a Candlelight event transports you into the world of Bridgerton for an evening where you can relive some of the most notable scenes from the series,” Lustro says. “The music in Bridgerton has always been one of the elements that our fans have loved the most about the show.”
Attendees embraced the event’s Regency charm, with many donning period-inspired attire. Concertgoer Mora Carew described the atmosphere as “beautifully haunting,” while Bria Peters said, “It was magical. I felt like the main character in my head as every song played.”
