The production team has confirmed an episode built around a daring pursuit on a moving freight train racing through the Canadian Rockies, a sequence they call the most ambitious in the show’s history.
A Cinematic Gamble
Justin Hartley performed a surprising amount of the stunt work himself, running atop a speeding train at night while helicopters captured sweeping aerial shots. “There were moments where I was inches away from a 200-foot drop,” Hartley revealed. “It’s the most exhilarating—and terrifying—thing I’ve ever done.”
CBS reportedly brought in stunt veterans from the Mission: Impossible franchise to design the chase. The network even approved a special extended runtime so the episode can air with minimal commercial interruptions. Early test viewers describe the result as “a mini blockbuster disguised as a TV hour.”
