The Golden Bachelor Alum Gerry Turner Finds “Perfect Home” With Fiancée Lana Sutton After Whirlwind Year md18

Former Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner is celebrating a new milestone with fiancée Lana Sutton.

“Ther[e] have been many great days over the last 12 months traveling, bonding families, building a loving and fun relationship with Lana,” Turner, 74, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, February 21.

He continued, “But yesterday was one of the very best. Finding our perfect home was an arduous journey. So gratifying to close on our new home together.”

Alongside the announcement, Turner shared a series of photos of the happy couple posing in front of a blue home. In one image, the pair smiled for a selfie while Sutton held up a key.

“Congrats you two!!!!” Bachelor host Jesse Palmer wrote in the comments section, while former Golden Bachelor contestant Susan Noles added, “So happy 4 u both.”

Turner confirmed his relationship with Sutton in April 2025, sharing that the pair met when she slid into his DMs. Turner and Sutton announced their engagement in October 2025.

“We’ve got BIG news,” Turner wrote via Instagram at the time. “The Golden Bachelor is OFF the market. I found my perfect match and she said ‘YES’. I Love this woman.”

Ahead of his engagement to Sutton, Turner popped the question to Theresa Nist during the season 1 finale of The Golden Bachelor. The pair tied the knot in 2024 and announced their plans to divorce months later.

In 2025, Turner made headlines when he detailed their relationship ups and downs in his memoir, Golden Years: What I’ve Learned from Love, Loss, and Reality TV. At one point, Turner alleged that Nist wanted to go outside of their budget while looking for their forever home in Charleston, South Carolina, and claimed that she “rebuffed” his attempts at physical intimacy and made him sleep on the sofa.

Nist, meanwhile, shared her perspective during an appearance on the “Dear Shandy” podcast.

“I haven’t slept with anyone in nine years. … I didn’t sleep the entire night and I’m not a great sleeper. The next morning it came up, ‘How did you sleep?’ I said, ‘I didn’t sleep at all.’ We slept together the first night. He said, ‘Oh, I can sleep on the couch if you want me to.’ He offered to sleep on the couch. I did not ask him to sleep on the couch,” Nist claimed, alleging that she never felt “desired” by Turner when it came to their physical intimacy.

Looking back at their romance, Nist admitted that she felt she and Turner — who shared in 2024 that he was diagnosed with a slow-growing “bone marrow cancer” — tied the knot too fast.

“I have to say that I always said I like to live my life without regrets, but boy I made some mistakes here,” Nist said. “I regret getting married so quickly. That shouldn’t have happened.”
