‘The Good Doctor’ Is In! All About Season 6 of the Hit Medical Drama
The Good Doctor Season 6 picked up where Season 5 left off. Our doctors were put to the test in every way imaginable after Dr. Lim (Christina Chang) and her nurse were brutally attacked by the latter’s abusive boyfriend. Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore), Dr. Aaron Glassman (Richard Schiff) and the others performed medical miracles amid a hospital lockdown. (What a wedding night for newlyweds Shaun and Lea!) Needless to say, the drama didn’t end there.
What happens to Dr. Lim in Season 6 of The Good Doctor?
Dr. Audrey Lim survives her stab wounds but wakes up from her surgery paralyzed, begging the question, Was Dr. Murphy to blame? After all, he ignored Dr. Glassman’s orders and went ahead with a risky procedure in an effort to salvage his chief’s liver. (The intense surgery also triggered memories of his brother’s death.)
“From Dr. Lim’s perspective, everything has shifted,” Christina Chang, who plays the character, tell Parade. “She went from being a physical athlete who would ride motorcycles, go rock climbing and do bungee jumping—a clear risk-taking adrenaline junkie—to someone who is now bound to this wheelchair.”
Eventually, Dr. Lim has another surgery that allows her to regain her mobility in Season 6.
What happens to Dr. Glassman in Season 6 of The Good Doctor?
Dr. Glassman experiences memory impairment during Season 6, leading Dr. Murphy to worry that his brain cancer has recurred. When scans reveal that Glassman is still cancer-free, the assumption is that he’ll get diagnosed with dementia instead. But, as Shaun figures out, Glassman is actually experiencing the irreversible side effects of a ministroke, which created a hole in his brain.
“It explains why his memory has been impacted, especially during periods of intense focus involving many sequential steps,” Shaun says.
When is the Season 6 finale of The Good Doctor?
