The Good Doctor: Daniel Dae Kim stars in episode 15 trailer
Dr Jackson Han (played by Daniel Dae Kim) joined The Good Doctor season two cast last week and will feature in the remaining episodes of the series. Daniel Dae Kim, who is also an executive producer of The Good Doctor (which airs on Sky Witness in the UK), is best known for his roles on Hawaii Five-0 and Lost. The Good Doctor season two, episode 16, which airs tonight (Monday, February 25) at 10pm EST on ABC and next week on Sky Witness, will see Jackson Han continue his campaign against Dr Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore).
Who does Daniel Dae Kim play in The Good Doctor?
Daniel Dae Kim will play Dr Jackson Han in The Good Doctor season two.
E! Online describes Han as: “A brash new chief of surgery at St. Bonaventure.”
The synopsis for his first episode of The Good Doctor, which was titled Risk and Reward, reveals Han will immediately shake things up at the hospital.
The logline reads: “Shaun’s (played by Freddie Highmore) blunt honesty with a distraught mother of a critically ill newborn baby causes the new chief of surgery to question keeping him on as a resident.”
Dr Han will be appearing in the cast for the remaining episodes of The Good Doctor season two.
The character also features in the synopsis of tonight’s episode, Believe.
The synopsis for that episode, which will air on Monday, February 25, reads: “The new chief of surgery, Dr Jackson Han, believes Dr Shaun Murphy is a liability more than an asset and works to keep him out of the operating room permanently.”
The promo for tonight’s episode also sees Jackson try to fire Shaun.
Daniel Dae Kim has been an executive producer on the series since the show started in 2017.
He said in a statement: “As a fan of our show, I’m thrilled to be doing a guest arc with such a talented, kind and hard-working cast.
“David [Shore, executive producer] and I have been looking for the right opportunity and we’ve found a character that’s both dynamic and surprising.
“It’s an added bonus for my character to be directed by our own Freddie Highmore, who’s proving to be as talented behind the camera as in front of it.
“It’s been a lot of fun already and I’m excited for the episodes to air.”
