It was also recently revealed that Dr Marcus Andrews would not be returning as the actor Hill Harper decided to pursue his political ambitions and run for the U.S Senate in Michigan.
Freddie Highmore – Dr Shaun Murphy
Despite this, The Good Doctor is expected to see the return of a number of its stars including Freddie Highmore who fronts the show as Dr Shaun Murphy.
Viewers could see Shaun and Lea Dilallo (Paige Spara) finally bringing their baby home as well as adjusting to the changes that come with being a new father.
The season seven trailer also teased him reluctantly leaving his new family at home and returning to the St Bonaventure Hospital to confront Dr Glassman (Richard Schiff).
It is likely viewers could also see Shaun struggle to balance fatherhood with his recent promotion to an attending physician.
