As previously reported, the Freddie Highmore medical drama will conclude with its seventh and final season. In a newly released trailer, we watch as Shaun (Highmore) and Lea (Paige Spara) adjust to life as new parents… and Dr. Glassman (Richard Schiff) continues to give his surrogate son the cold shoulder.
Meanwhile, Drs. Alex Park (Will Yun Lee) and Morgan Reznick (Fiona Gubelmann), who recently resumed their relationship, discover baby Eden has a life-threatening cardiac defect and requires an operation to prevent heart failure.
How Did The Good Doctor Season 6 End?
The Good Doctor first bowed in 2017, and stars Highmore as autistic surgeon Shaun Murphy, who overcomes personal and professional hurdles while working at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital.
The Season 6 finale concluded with the birth of Shaun and Lea’s son, Steve Aaron Murphy — named after Shaun’s late brother Steve and his surrogate father, Dr. Aaron Glassman. However, Glassman, still upset with Shaun for accelerating the end of his career as a neurosurgeon, opted to skip the first family photo.
Meanwhile, Drs. Alex Park (Will Yun Lee) and Morgan Reznick (Fiona Gubelmann) resumed their relationship with the intention of raising Morgan’s foster child Eden together.
