Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful are in for a treat, as a beloved character makes his dramatic return just in time for the holidays. Sending shockwaves through the B&B fandom, the latest preview hinted at the comeback of a fan-favorite, ushering in some fresh drama to the iconic soap opera.
Matthew Atkinson’s Thomas Forrester is back on The Bold and the Beautiful
The Bold and the Beautiful fans are going wild as Matthew Atkinson reprises his role as Thomas Forrester. Ridge and Taylor Forrester’s captivating and multi-dimensional son made a fleeting comeback in September. However, it appears as though he’s back for good this time, ready to dive back into his role at Forrester Creations.
Forrester, portrayed by Atkinson since 2019, has been a key character in the show. Hence, his departure in March 2024 left viewers heartbroken. However, he returned briefly in June and July.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest about that comeback, Atkinson had said, “I can’t speak for all the fans, but there’s a wealth of people that are either really, really upset that Thomas is gone for a period or really sad. [They] reach out and they’re like, ‘Hey, when are you back? When are you back? When are you back?’”
“That just speaks to their care for this character. And that means a lot to me because I would have fun doing this in a vacuum, but it’s really great to have a response that shows that these people care about what you’re doing. And so it’s just been so much love from so many fans that comes out in so many different ways”, Atkinson had explained.
Thomas made his next appearance in September 2025, following his split from Paris. His focus, his parents, who were planning to remarry. However, his happiness was short-lived after Ridge ditched Taylor for Brooke, again. Thomas went ballistic, blaming Brooke for wrecking his family. However, Ridge stepped in, calmed him down. Thomas eventually apologized to Brooke, making his peace with the inevitable marriage.
