Manish Dayal’s breakout role was in the Fox medical drama The Resident. The actor played Dr. Devon Pravesh for the show’s six-season run. Initially arriving at the hospital as a young resident, the character evolved over the years to become a seasoned attending. It has been two years since the show ended, but Dayal is not done putting his skills from The Resident to use. The actor is set to appear in Chicago Med Season 11, Episode 4, “Found Family,” playing Dr. Theo Rabari. NBC has released images from tonight’s episode, airing on Wednesday, October 22, which preview the character and tease his arc. The episode’s logline reads:
According to the images, Dr. Rabari’s mission does not involve the ER or the OR; it involves collaborating with Gaffney’s senior doctors on a peculiar case. He is seen with Dr. Charles and Dr. Archer (Steven Weber) as they look at some scans in the imaging room. This likely has something to do with the patient who arrives at the ER with a severed arm and refuses to let the doctor reattach it. He claims that he cut his own arm to prevent himself from killing someone. As is customary for Dr. Charles, he must dive into the patient’s body and mind to figure out what’s happening, and hopefully save them and the arm.
The rest of the images tease another case from the episode as Dr. Frost attends to a tender patient, Cora Cooper (Hattie M. Baker), dealing with immunodeficiency. The images show them having a relatively good time. Viviene must stay inside an isolation barrier to prevent contracting an illness from the doctor or his mother, Vivienne (Erin Davie), who has accompanied her to the hospital. What will this new case reveal about Dr. Frost’s troubled childhood? Will it unearth more complex memories or help him begin healing?

What’s on the Horizon in ‘Chicago Med’ Season 11?
The season continues to explore long-running arcs, including Hannah (Jessy Schram) and Archer’s situation. Some One Chicago cameos are on the horizon, as is a Halloween-themed episode. “In this next episode that I’m talking about with this woman with this deadly secret, we will also see Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) from [Chicago] P.D., and also Lenox is on the case as well. So I think episode number four has a bit girl detective work,” Schram teased in a recent interview. Regarding the Halloween episode, she said:
Episode 5, which is actually our Halloween episode, is a pretty big case for Hannah. We have a young woman that comes in with a pretty massive secret, and discovering what that secret is is kind of heartbreaking, and it can also be very deadly. She’s very much an advocate for her patients, whether they’re in the right or the wrong, because I think she has a deeper understanding that things aren’t black and white. I was just rereading that script and going, ‘Wow, this, it’s a really heartbreaking story.’
