The Rookie shares new photo of Chenford and fans are losing it
The show will return with a new episode on April 18
The Rookie is on hiatus until April 18, but in the meantime, the show is giving fans a glimpse of the upcoming episode. Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, fans were treated to a sweet behind-the-scenes snap of Melissa O’Neill and Eric Winter – aka Lucy Chen and Tim Bradford of ‘Chenford’. The co-stars posed for a photo on set, with the caption reading: “One week. 7 days. 168 hours. 10,080 minutes. But who’s counting?”
Sparking a major reaction from fans, many were quick to comment on the post. “It’s me. I’m counting down. And omg this picture, I can’t wait another week,” wrote one. “Only one week I’m so excited for next week, Tim & Lucy are my favourite couple on The Rookie,” added a second.
Meanwhile, a third penned: “I literally can’t wait, and whoever is the social media manager for this show needs a raise, because good lord these captions have been on point! Hahaha.”
Set to premiere on Tuesday, the upcoming episode is titled, S.T.R., and while the official synopsis is yet to be revealed, the show has released a trailer, giving fans an idea of what to expect.
In a dramatic twist, Tim Bradford’s ex-wife Isabel (Mircea Monroe) is set to return. “Isabel, she’s in town and needed to talk,” he tells Lucy in the teaser, which leaves her feeling “weird” about the situation. Meanwhile, Skip Tracer Randy (Flula Borg) is in for a bumpy ride after he’s supposedly framed for two brutal murders, leaving John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) and Nyla Harper (Mekia Cox) to investigate.
Following the trailer’s release on Instagram, fans have been voicing their concerns about Isabel’s return, fearing that it could spell trouble for Tim and Lucy. Responding in the comments, one replied, “Please leave #chenford alone!” while a second wrote, “Oh no, Isabel! Please don’t rock the boat!”
