Per TVLine, the synopsis for Season 5, Episode 22 “Under Siege,” suggests that a deadly conclusion could await Nathan Fillion’s John Nolan and his squad. “After one of their own is shot, the team suffers a series of close calls and realizes their division may be a target for a group of masked assailants,” reads the official description. The nature of these attackers remains unknown, as does their motivation. The Season 5 finale will air on ABC on May 2.

The story follows John Nolan, a 45-year-old construction worker that closes his company and enrolls in the Los Angeles Police Department, going on to be the oldest rookie on the force.
