When Gordon Ramsay talks about food or is filmed cooking, his passion for his career and feeding people becomes obvious. However, anyone who really wants to see Gordon beaming with happiness needs to search for clips of the celebrity chef talking about his wife and kids.
Once the couple was married, the world got to know Gordon’s wife who almost always goes by a shortened version of her first name better. In fact, due to the interviews she has taken part in over the years and her social media presence, Tana Ramsay has many fans of her own.
During Gordon and Tana Ramsay’s 25 years of marriage, the couple’s family has grown significantly. Even though Tana Ramsay struggled to conceive due to suffering from Polycystic ovary syndrome, the couple has welcomed five kids into the world.
After the couple’s first child Megan was born in 1998, they had twins Holly and Jack in 1999, Matilda in 2001, and Oscar was born most recently in 2019.
As a father, Gordon Ramsay has been very open about forcing his kids to live by a set of rules that he has enacted and takes very seriously.

The Huge Loss That Gordon Ramsay’s Family Suffered

In 2016, the Ramsay family learned that the matriarch Tana Ramsay was pregnant. Given how much Gordon and Tana both clearly adore their children, it seems extremely safe to assume that the couple was overjoyed at the news.
Tragically, in October of that same year, Gordon announced on Facebook that his family had suffered a loss that nobody should ever have to go through.
“Hi guys, Tana and I want to thank you so much for your support over the past couple of weeks. We had a devastating weekend as Tana has sadly miscarried our son at five months. We’re together healing as a family, but we want to thank everyone again for all your amazing support and well wishes. I’d especially like to send a big thank you to the amazing team at Portland Hospital for everything they’ve done. Gx.”
Even though some people don’t understand how devastating miscarriages truly are, the loss is so profound that it is hard to describe. For proof of that, all you have to do is look at what Tana Ramsay posted on Instagram on the fifth anniversary of the baby she lost’s due date.
“If all had gone as we hoped yesterday 14/10/21 would have been our little boy Rocky’s 5th birthday, the day he was due not the day he was actually born when he was too little to survive,” she wrote in the caption. Not a day goes by when we don’t think of him, but, it wasn’t meant to be.”
“We have gone on to be blessed and will be eternally grateful, but shall always remember our angel baby with a heart bursting with love and many many tears x #babylossawarenessweek @gordongram,”
On top of Gordon and Tana Ramsay being open about how devastating it was for them to lose a baby to miscarriage, it is clear their children were deeply affected as well. After all, the couple’s eldest child, Megan Ramsay, publically stated that she ran in the 2017 London Marathon as a tribute to her lost little brother.
“Last year I sadly lost my little brother Rocky while my mum was 5 months pregnant, and I miss him every day and I am running in loving memory of him.” Megan Ramsay also revealed that before she ran as a tribute to her brother, she had never taken part in a marathon before.
