Tim Allen has delighted fans as he announced his return to his beloved role of Buzz Lightyear for the upcoming fifth instalment in the Toy Story franchise.
The 69-year-old actor took to Twitter to share the happy news, as he posted a snap of the cartoon space ranger.
“See ya soon Woody, you are a sad strange little man and you have my pity. And off we go to a number 5! To infinity and beyond,” Tim wrote alongside the picture.
The announcement comes after Tim was replaced in last year’s Lightyear spinoff in which Chris Evans voiced the fan favourite character.

The original Toy Story was released in 1995, introducing children everywhere to Woody, Buzz Lightyear and their beloved pals.
