Tom Selleck plans to make a big return to TV at age 80 in 2026 — but pals are warning the Magnum, P.I. legend to lower his expectations due to his age, health and competition for limited roles.
Tom is still smarting over CBS canceling his Blue Bloods cop show, and he isn’t ready to hang up his trademark mustache.
“Blue Bloods went away before he was ready to say goodbye, and it’s not a great feeling for him to see his former costars thrive on the spinoff [Boston Blue] that CBS put on the air after they ended the main show,” reveals an insider.
Tom is taking the bold step by signing with United Talent Agency. “But he isn’t just changing his agency representation — he’s turning his whole world upside down just to show the industry that he wants to stay in the game,” says the insider.
