Tracker Season 2 Casts Character Key To Colter’s Personal Life
Tracker season 2 will welcome a new character, as Colter’s girlfriend has been cast. The new hit drama, based on The Never Game by Jeffery Deaver, is returning for its second installment in a few weeks. While it’s confirmed that Jensen Ackles and Melissa Roxburgh will be back as the siblings of Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) in Tracker season 2, the upcoming episodes will also introduce someone else from Colter’s past.
Ahead of the Tracker season 2’s debut on Sunday, October 13 at 8 PM ET on CBS, TVLine confirms that Supergirl alum Floriana Lima has been cast as Camille Picket. The official character description notes that Camille is “haunted and attractive” and has been Colter’s lover, on and off, for at least a decade. Check out the official description below:
“Haunted, attractive… Camille has been Colter’s off-and-on lover for at least the past 10 years. Camille’s sister went missing 10 years ago and her case was never solved — which brings up some trauma for both Camille and Colter on every anniversary of her disappearance, but also causes them to reconnect, at least for an evening.”
What Lima’s Casting Means For Tracker Season 2
A Familiar Face Is Joining A Growing Guest Cast
Lima, who is also recognizable for her roles in The Punisher television show and the drama A Million Little Things, isn’t the only new addition to the Tracker cast. The new season will also feature Manifest star Matt Long and Lindy Booth of The Librarians, as well as Rookie Blue’s Enuka Okuma and Yellowstone alum Ryan Dorsey. All four will appear in the season 2 debut episode, which sees Colter dealing with a strange case.
The case, and its homage to The X-Files, was previewed in the Tracker season 2 trailer. That same trailer also included a quick scene of Camille and Colter sharing a quick kiss. His sometimes girlfriend could potentially shed light on Colter’s character and his nomadic, lone-wolf approach to life, which is at the core of the CBS series.
Our Take On Tracker Season 2’s New Character
The Upcoming Episodes Will Dig Deeper Into Colter
Following the Tracker season 1 finale, CBS’ top-rated series will have a lot to address regarding Colter’s family. But there will also be an opportunity to look into his romantic life and whether there’s anything or anyone that might make him adjust the way he lives his life. It’s one of the perks of a second season with a larger episode count, which allows the adaptation’s creative team, which includes executive producers Ben H. Winters, Elwood Reid, Ken Olin, and Hartley, to examine the protagonist and those around him more thoroughly.
That includes a greater focus on a supporting cast that features Abby McEnany, Eric Graise, and Fiona Rene. Their respective characters, Velma, Bobby, and Reenie, are ripe for more development. But that all starts with the lone wolf himself, and it seems like Tracker season 2 is setting itself up to build on what made its debut a strong success.
