After a major cast shakeup ahead of Tracker Season 3, CBS is officially bringing back a forgotten Season 2 star. The upcoming episodes will see Colter Shaw reunited with a trusted ally.
The criminally underseen sci-fi horror series has shared a production update on the highly anticipated Season 4.
Sexton made his Tracker debut in Season 2, Episode 6, “Trust Fall.” He reprised his role in two more episodes after that, his final appearance being in Season 2, Episode 9, “The Disciple.” Keaton met Colter during one of the survivalist’s missions, and he helped him solve a case of his own. However, he later stuck around, and Season 2 had left a door open for Keaton’s return.
TV Pulse Magazine unveiled the first look at the upcoming episode, which will mark the show’s final episode before the holiday hiatus. The episode’s description reads, “When Colter’s old friend Keaton asks for help finding his former partner, the pair uncover a trail of bodies and a conspiracy that runs deeper than they could’ve imagined.”
The procedural usually has Colter work alone, and it’s difficult to bring new characters that can keep up with the survivalist, who moves to different parts of the country. However, Season 2 has proven how well Colter worked with Keaton, so CBS found a way to bring him back.
After an extremely long journey, it’s time to say goodbye to one of the most iconic The Walking Dead characters.
Keaton’s return is great news, as it comes after Tracker lost some key members. Sexton was introduced into the series shortly after losing Season 1’s Robin Weigert, and the show went in a different direction for the most recent season, losing Abby McEnany and Eric Graise, who played Velma and Bobby. The show, however, introduced some new replacements for Velma and Bobby with Fiona Rene’s Reenie and Chris Lee’s Randy.
Tracker Season 3 Will Experience Another Change
Since the show’s debut in 2022, Tracker has been a consistent draw for CBS, and it may have something to do with its Sunday airtime. However, after the show’s upcoming hiatus, CBS had decided to make some new changes. When it returns, Tracker will maintain the same air date but will move to a new time slot.
