Tracker Season 3 Trailer: Jensen Ackles & Justin Hartley Reunite

A new trailer for Tracker season 3 reveals Jensen Ackles reuniting with Justin Hartley for explosive action in the next chapter of the action drama. Tracker season 3 is set to feature Hartley’s Colter Shaw continuing to find and rescue missing persons with his team. This includes weekly cases alongside a larger storyline focused on him and his family.

Although not shown in the trailer, season 3 will be following up on some big family reveals for Colter when episodes start again. Tracker season 2 ended with the revelation that Otto Waldron killed Colter and Russell’s father, Ashton, when they were younger. The protagonist also learned his mother, Dove, may have asked Otto to do it.

The turn of events has yet to be explored in-depth, with season 3 being the perfect time for more about the conspiracy surrounding Ashton’s death to be revealed. It had once driven a rift between Colter and Russell, the latter blaming his brother. Now, the two characters in Tracker have made amends, and will work together once more.

As for the cases Colter is going to tackle, it seems to be his standard fare, with plenty of action-packed events involved. Not everything is going to be easy, as it never is when new cases arise. However, it’ll be more difficult this time around, as Abby McEnany’s Velma and Eric Graise’s Bobby won’t be coming back for season 3.

Although there’s no telling where the larger story of Tracker season 3 will take its core characters, the trailer signifies some very important cases that Colter will be tackling. This includes one where Russell is going to be vital, the pair working together once again to take down people who may have something to do with someone’s disappearance.

With Tracker season 3’s trailer remaining rather hushed on the outcome of Colter’s investigation into his father’s death, it seems like the show will be holding those cards close to its chest until it comes back. Since the protagonist will be launching other, smaller investigations in the meantime, the direction of the story arc may surprise with how it resolves.
