The TV series Tracker has been a major success since its 2024 debut. However, it also came with many major changes.
The outlet reports Tracker has just cast Kathleen Robertson (Swimming with Sharks) and Mark Engelhardt (American Horror Story: Asylum) in recurring roles opposite Justin Hartley and Fiona Rene.
Robertson is set to play Maxine, a successful attorney at a major firm looking to engage Reenie (Fiona Rene) in what Maxine assures her is simply grunt work for an upcoming class-action suit. It turns out Maxine may have an entirely different game that she’s playing. Engelhardt will play Emile Lang, a man with his own moral code. Cold, calculating and methodical.
The hit CBS series is based on Jeffrey Deaver’s bestselling novel The Never Game. It stars Justin Hartley in the leading role as Colter Shaw. His character is described as “a lone-wolf survivalist who roams the country as a reward seeker, using his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries while contending with his own fractured family,” the official description reads.
The show’s Season 2’s explosive finale let Colter deal with the hard truths of his family’s past. With the help of his trusted team, he tries to put everything behind and focus on what he does best: help people. This also came with a major team change, and Tracker will continue to double on that with Robertson and Engelhardt’s arrivals.
Tracker Will Bring Back an Underrated Character
Although many cast members left since the show debuted in 2024, there are some characters who pop in sometimes. Jensen Ackles is one of them, who plays Russell Shaw, Colter’s estranged brother. Season 3 will bring back another key character: Brent Sexton’s Keaton.
Tracker returns on Sunday with Episode 9, “Good Trouble,” which sees Colter reunite with Keaton after his old friend asks for help finding his former partner, they uncover a trail of bodies and a conspiracy that runs deep.
Sexton made his debut in Tracker Season 2, Episode 6, “Trust Fall,” shortly after the show lost Teddi. He reprised his role in two more episodes after that, his final appearance being in Season 2, Episode 9, “The Disciple.”
After “Good Trouble,” Tracker will enter its mid-season hiatus, and will return with a new change on Mar. 1, 2026. The series airs new episodes every Sunday at 8 p.m. ET, but will switch to a new time slot after the break. Starting Mar. 1, Tracker will air from 9 p.m. ET to 10 p.m. ET.
