Turns Out Bailey Isn’t the Most Hated The Rookie Character, but SHE Is
It’s not easy to find the black sheep in an ensemble cast show, but somehow we manage.
One of the best things about a show with many different characters is the ability to choose who to hate and who to root for. You can juggle them all and change your preferences from season to season as new characters are added to the show.
The Rookie is a perfect example of a viewer’s attitude like that. When Bailey Nune was introduced in season 3, it took the audience a few minutes to start hating her. And from that moment on she became the one to take all the negative comments form the fans.
Little did they know that another annoying character would soon enter the picture. We are talking about Celina Juarez, a character who was introduced in season 5 of the show, and from her first appearance on screen, she earned the hatred of the viewers. And the fans believe that they have many reasons to feel this way.
Why Do The Rookie Fans Hate Celina Juarez?
In the very first episode, her story starts with her working guided by her emotions and doing things like stopping a person for no other reason than she felt a dark aura coming from the car. After that, every story she did had some supernatural and emotional stuff in it, which of course would not have been tolerated in reality.
The writers made it clear that they wanted to make it look like John Nolan was having a hard time with her, but the viewers think they went too far and created a cop monster who is just an insubordinate mess.
“I liked her when I binge watched the show for the first time. However, I’m rewatching it for the third time and I cannot stand Celina’s character at all! She’s insubordinate, her utterances border on rude and her “feelings” bother me so much. I mean Nolan addressed it but after police training, how do you arrest people based on “feelings“?” Redditor Mummy55555 said.
However, the most tolerable fans say she is becoming a better person and character after a while, but try to persuade those who already put so much into hating her…
