It’s almost time for Supernatural to leave Netflix. Typically, CW shows depart the platform five years after their series finale airs on the network. It’s been a stipulation of the contract between the two companies for years. As such, fans of Dean and Sam Winchester’s adventures will have to stream the series elsewhere. Thankfully, the classic program will be available on not one, but two streamers once it leaves Netflix on Wednesday, December 17.
Where to Stream Supernatural
According to TVLine, Supernatural fans won’t have to wait until December 17 to watch the show on one of its new streaming homes. Prime Video subscribers will have access to all 15 seasons on Monday, December 1. That’s certainly one way to usher in the last month of 2025.
Prime Video has increasingly become a go-to destination for fans of Days of our Lives alum, Jensen Ackles. Between his role as Soldier Boy in The Boys franchise, the short-lived Countdown, and Ackles’ first-look deal with Chaos Machine Prods., his company with his wife, actress Danneel Ackles, there are reasons specific to his filmography for fans to tune in on the platform.
However, if you don’t have a Prime Video account (its base tier is $8.99/month with ads—this doesn’t include Prime membership), Supernatural is headed to Peacock on Monday, December 22. Subscribers will be able to binge the entire series just like fans who use the Amazon streaming service. Plans for Peacock start at $7.99/month.
CW Shows Leaving Netflix in December
The Winchesters aren’t the only CW mainstays bidding farewell to Netflix subscribers. Arrow and The 100 are also leaving on December 17. The Stephen Amell-led superhero series that spawned the lauded Arrowverse will be the first drama of that era to make its exit. A streaming home hasn’t been announced. However, it’s a DC series, so HBO Max may be its next destination.
As for The 100, the controversial sci-fi drama that certainly embodied the network’s old slogan ‘Dare to Defy,’ also doesn’t have a new streamer. Unlike Arrow, the series was a joint venture between CBS Television Studios and Warner Bros. Television, so it’s a toss-up where it might land. HBO Max is likely, but in this new era for Paramount, it’s possible it could go to Paramount+ or Pluto TV.
With both programs still being quite popular, their removal from Netflix may not mean fans will have to wait months to find out where they’ll be streaming next.
