Everyone loves when on-screen couples date off-screen. Remember freaking out over Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart? And then feeling like Twilight would never be quite the same when they broke up? Yeah. So the world has been obsessed with Full House’s Uncle Jesse (John Stamos) and Aunt Becky (Lori Loughlin) getting together IRL for basically ever. They were the PERFECT couple!
Now that John and Lori are joining forces again for Fuller House on Netflix, People got the scoop about whether or not they ever gave an off-screen romance a chance. What they said might surprise you!
Apparently, they became friends even before Full House debuted in 1987, working on daytime soap operas together when they were teens.
“He asked me to go to Disneyland to see a band,” Lori recalled. Was that, like, a date date? “We fight internally about that,” she said. “I’m like, ‘Was that a date?’ He’s like, ‘Yeah!'”
“As I recall, we ended up kissing,” John added. “That sounds like a date, right?”
But for whatever reason, their chemistry after that long-ago kiss stayed friendly. Too bad — because as any Full House fan knows, they would make an amazing couple IRL.
