Thirteen seasons in, and NCIS: Los Angeles still knows how to keep fans guessing. Case in point with the latest episode of the hit CBS drama, where folks finally found out more about Kensi (Daniela Ruah). But it wasn’t what anyone, including Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), hoped to hear. Thankfully, the NCIS: L.A. team did everything in its power to bring her back home safely. By the end of the hour, she was in bed recuperating, counting her blessings and thinking about Rosa (Natalia Del Riego)’s future.
Now, fans are ready to see Kensi bounce back, but unfortunately, there is a little bit of a wait. There is no new episode of NCIS: Los Angeles this Sunday night.
When is NCIS: Los Angeles coming back?
NCIS: Los Angeles will return to CBS with new episodes on Sunday, January 23 at 8 p.m. ET. While the show has not made a formal announcement about the short hiatus on social media, viewers spotted a sneak peek of what’s to come in a TV promo. In the 11-second clip below, the network reveals that it will be airing not one, but two new NCIS: Los Angeles episodes back-to-back when the show returns. It’s important to note that because of this, the show is moving up one hour to 8 p.m. ET, instead of its usual 9 p.m. ET, to have enough time for two full hours of drama.
The ninth episode of season 13 is titled “Under the Influence,” in which the NCIS team leads a search for a U.S. ambassador’s missing daughter. Folks can also anticipate seeing Supervisory Special Agent Aliyah De León (Briana Marin) back again to assist the team with this case.
Then, NCIS: Los Angeles will jump right into its 10th episode titled “Where Loyalties Lie,” which centers around a civilian scientist who is killed while working with the U.S. Marines. When her advanced radar technology is stolen, the team launches an investigation into the murder with the main objective of recovering the equipment.
So, that sums it up: No new episode of NCIS: Los Angeles for two Sundays, but the wait will sure be worth it.
