The Virgin River cast is set to balloon with the forthcoming sixth season, with two four faces and plenty of returning faces from prior seasons recently confirmed to be appearing in the big wedding expected to occur towards the end of season 6 of the hit Netflix show.
The news comes via a leaked behind-the-scenes shot posted by one of the new cast members over the weekend, although it was quickly deleted. Virgin River fans don’t miss a thing, though, and quickly spread the picture and news far and wide.
It’s been suggested that Netflix has become more strict with behind-the-scenes leaks for this season, with much fewer photos being released by the cast and crew of the show beyond a few Netflix-sanctioned photos released exclusively by Netflix TUDUM and its social media channels. The first picture came at the beginning of filming and one was released when Netflix confirmed our reporting that Martin Henderson would be directing this season.
Gigi Neil is a British actress who will soon appear in Return to Sender for upTV and Amish Unfaithful for Lifetime. Previous roles include voicing in Hogwarts Legacy and starring in Spread for Tubi.
Erin Kathleen Boyes is best known for Miss Christmas and Fruitcake. Boyes also appeared in the 2016 Netflix Original movie I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House.
These aren’t the only new faces expected to appear in season 6. Our friends at The Viewer’s Perspective have also scooped that Rachel Drance will play Marley Thurston in the new season (in at least two episodes), with Ese Atawo also reportedly appearing in numerous episodes as Clara. Thurston was spotted on set by eagle-eyed fans in recent weeks.
We’ll also see the return of some familiar faces for the big wedding coming up in season 6, including Jenny Cooper, Dan Payne, Garfield Wilson, Eric Brecker, and Andrew Zachar.
Season 6 is currently filming until the end of May 2024, with post-production and editing expected to continue throughout the rest of 2024.
While season 6 isn’t now expected to land on our screens until 2025, we do have some more Virgin River to look forward to imminently, with Netflix Stories: Virgin River set to arrive at the end of May 2024. We’re also awaiting more news on the new spin-off series announced earlier this year.
Dexerto and The Viewer’s Perspective first reported the news.
