With just two months to go until the return of Virgin River, Netflix has unveiled a new teaser trailer, along with fresh stills and a poster, spotlighting the much-anticipated wedding of Mel and Jack, which will take center stage this season.
Fans of the series may recall that Season 5 faced some criticism for shifting its focus from Mel and Jack’s romance to a broader ensemble narrative. However, this teaser seems to respond to those concerns, showcasing the couple’s wedding as its primary theme.
The trailer opens with Jack’s heartfelt words: “From the moment I set eyes on you, I knew you were special. As I’ve fallen deeper in love with you, that’s only grown stronger. I want to spend the rest of my life making you the happiest woman in the world.” It features scenes of wedding planning and celebrations, ending with a call to “Save the Date” for the series’ release on December 19, when all ten new episodes will be available.
The updated synopsis for Season 6 reads: “Set against the backdrop of Mel and Jack’s romantic spring wedding, this season promises fresh twists, escalating love triangles, wedding drama, and revelations from Mel’s father’s past that will take us back to the magic of Virgin River in the 1970s.”
Additionally, Netflix shared a first look at the new season’s poster.
