The extended trailer for “Fifty Shades Darker” featuring “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” by Zayn Malik and Taylor Swift has been released.Under new director James Foley — who replaces Sam Taylor-Johnson — the extended trailer for Fifty Shades Darker is showing no hints of a difficult transition.
For those unfamiliar with first movie, warning: mild spoilers ahead!
Things pick up where they left off, with Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele — portrayed by Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson respectively — trying (and failing) to stay away from each other. Zayn Malik and Taylor Swift’s “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” plays throughout the trailer, and as it cuts through scenes of Christian pleading for a second chance with Ana, Malik can be heard appropriately singing, “Been sittin’ eyes wide open behind these four walls, hopin’ you’ll call/ It’s just a cruel existence like it’s no point hopin’ at all.”
As they appear to reconcile — sharing tender moments, and of course, quite a few sexier ones — scenes flash by showing some darker sequences, including a young woman stalking the two and a man aggressively cornering Ana.
