“We May Lose Them”: One ‘Chicago Fire’ Character May Not Survive Season 13

Chicago Fire Season 13 has already seen a key character death in the tragic demise of Chief Dom Pascal’s (Dermot Mulroney) wife, Monica Pascal (KaDee Strickland), but it appears another major tragedy is on the way, this time involving one favorite character. When the beloved procedural returns next week with “Post Moterm,” the show will see the return of former Firehouse 51 Chief, Wallace Boden (Eamon Walker), who’d be returning to investigate the cause of a deadly fire hazard affecting one of the station’s core firefighters. While there’s no knowing for sure who might be the victim of the accident, an exclusive image courtesy of Deadline might have revealed the identity of the firefighter

According to the synopsis for Episode 18, “Deputy Commissioner Boden returns to Firehouse 51 to investigate a disastrous firefight and the surrounding mystery that left one of their own in peril.” In an exclusive coverage of the episode, Deadline teases that Christopher Herrmann played by David Eigenberg, could be the victim of the tragic accident. The solo image sees Hermann battling the inferno inside a building alone; he appears to have been isolated with no other fighter in sight as the fire circles and grows around him. Previewing the episode in his Deadline interview, Walker shared a cautious tease about the victim, saying; “I will give you this much: somebody got left behind in a fire, and that somebody was a firefighter. That is a no-no and should never, ever happen. And because they were left behind, possibly by the end of this episode, we may lose them. It’s one of your favorites.” The fire burns from the accident will lead to the victim being hospitalized with only a slim chance of survival.
