It sounds like that NCIS: Los Angeles Season 9 cliffhanger isn’t such a big deal anymore, especially now that it’s confirmed Kensi (Daniela Ruah) and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) will get married in Season 10.
Fans last saw Kensi and Deeks in a car alongside Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Sam (LL Cool J) when they were hit by some sort of missile. But the fan favorite couple will make it out of their Season 9 finale predicament alive, apparently.
And sometime after that, they will walk down the aisle in Season 10 — in the weeks after the holiday season. “We are excited to finally see that happen this year, probably after Christmas,” executive producer R. Scott Gemmill tells Entertainment Weekly.
After Densi’s brush with death, fans are will surely be curious as to how the estranged couple will end up at the altar. Last season, they broke off their engagement after Kensi wouldn’t leave her job to be with Deeks. Ultimately, it boiled down to their differing stances on having kids.
So what changes their minds? Obviously the near-death experience is probably a catalyst, but until the big day arrives, fans will have plenty of time to see for themselves.
Of the wedding, Gemmill teased that, “A meme that developed between Kensi and Deeks, where he said she smells like sunshine and gunpowder. Their wedding will be a perfect example of that.”
With news like this, Season 10 is surely worth the wait. Be sure to catch NCIS: Los Angeles for all things Densi when it returns to TV this fall!
