A new season of Chicago Fire returns tonight, and the first episode of Season 13 promises plenty of action as a new fire chief stirs things up at Firehouse 51. Read on to find out what time Chicago Fire Season 13 airs on NBC and what to expect from the premiere.
Season 13 will pick up after the bittersweet Season 12 finale, where Chief Boden stepped down as Fire Chief to take on the CFD’s Deputy Commissioner role. Firehouse 51 will now have to adapt to its new leader, Fire Chief Dom Pascal, played by Dermot Mulroney.
Showrunner Andrea Newman revealed to TVInsider that the firefighters will be curious to learn more about Fire Chief Pascal, especially Lt. Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg), the veteran firefighter who was Boden’s preferred replacement.
“All our guys will have different reactions to him and there will be surprises in terms of who bonds with Pascal and who doesn’t,” Newman said. She also noted that “there’s major drama in Pascal’s marriage.” KaDee Strickland will be joining the series to play his wife, Monica.
Most of the Season 12 cast of Chicago Fire will return for Season 13, including Taylor Kinney (Kelly Severide), Miranda Rae Mayo (Stella Kidd), Eigenberg (Christopher Herrmann), Christian Stolte (Randall “Mouch” McHolland), Joe Minoso (Joe Cruz), and others. Jocelyn Hudon was also promoted to a series regular this season after replacing Kara Killmer (Sylvie Brett) in Season 12.
