What To Expect From Kelly Severide’s Story In Chicago Fire Season 13

The last couple of years have been rocky for Firehouse 51. Some of its most important personnel have left for various reasons, including Jesse Spencer’s Matt Casey, and most recently, Chief Boden. Severide and the aforementioned duo have been the faces of Chicago Fire since it premiered in 2012, but now, only Kinney’s character is left to continue in the beloved firehouse. While there’s no doubt that the Squad 3 leader will be able to move forward despite suffering these losses, it’s curious how Casey and Boden’s absence will impact Severide’s work in season 13.

Beyond his professional arc, there’s also interest in his personal story. If anything, this aspect of his life is more intriguing because of recent events. For starters, his marriage with Stella Kidd has been mired with challenges. The pair is fresh from a very difficult year after Severide ignored his wife for months. Rebuilding Kidd’s trust wasn’t easy, but Severide was willing to do it. With that time in their lives seemingly done, the couple is now looking at another conundrum — whether to start a family in Chicago Fire season 13 or later.

Stella Kidd’s Confirmed Chicago Fire Season 13 Story Can Further Vilify Kelly Severide
Stella Kidd’s confirmed personal narrative in Chicago Fire season 13 has the potential to further make Kelly Severide look like a villain.

While Severide waits for Kidd’s stance on his proposal for them to have a baby soon, he will also have to deal with learning about the existence of his half-brother, Damon. From the looks of it, Bradwell will continue his stint as Benny’s younger son in Chicago Fire season 13, which means that Kinney’s character may not be immediately dismissive of him. It will be interesting to see how the half-brothers working together will impact Firehouse 51’s overall dynamic once the rest of the team finds out.
