Ghosts has a few dangling threads I hope they address in the remaining six episodes left in season 4. Hetty and Trevor became “power friends” in season 4, episode 12, then in the very next episode, the other ghosts worry what would happen if they revive their relationship. With Hetty making a real connection with Jay’s cousin in the last episode, it does feel like Ghosts is building towards Hetty and Trevor getting back together in a more serious way
Sas’s status as a virgin has become such a running joke that hopefully Ghosts will give him a real love interest sometime soon. Sas had a brief relationship with the car-bound ghost, but as a character who often gets lost in the shuffle of the bigger ghost personalities, he deserves to end his postmortem dry spell and have his own storyline.
In the last Ghosts episode, Isaac tells Nigel a white lie about Chris’s disappearance. While this seemingly wrapped up the love triangle, I have a sneaking suspicion this is not the last we’ll see of Chris. Pete is the only other ghost able to leave the property, but he has to return after a certain amount of time away or risk fading away. If this also applies to Chris’s ghost power, he will have to come back to Woodstone Manor, and Isaac will have a hard time explaining how a ghost he claimed was sucked off is now back.
Hopefully Ghosts uses this opportunity to take some bold risks.
Ghosts is in a rarified position in modern network television: having been renewed for Ghosts seasons 5 and 6, they are going into the season 4 break knowing they have 44 episodes of story ahead of them. Hopefully Ghosts uses this opportunity to take some bold risks – while many ghosts have been getting closure, none so far have been sucked off.
